This month’s radio show is in honour of disability history month and will exhibit some clips from the East London Peoples archive on the theme of living and working with disability. The show will begin with a short history of disability history month and then section 1 will contain clips on the theme of attending school with a disability and the role of schools for the disabled. Section 2 will then move on to the theme of working with disability with stories about the Remploy Factory, which was set up after World War to employ disabled ex service men. Section 3 will then be about employment outside of Remploy and section 4 contains some stories of living with disability and the fight for equality.
