Busy, busy times at East London Radio this week but by now we expect nothing less!
We were excited to hear plans for a Roman Road week long celebration being planned for the summer, as well as an event at the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.
We had our very first day working in Spotlight in Langdon Park, Poplar, where we will be training young people in learning and experiencing making radio programmes. Any youth groups interested in this, wherever you’re based, please contact youth@eastlondonradio.org.uk . Find out more about Spotlight by clicking on their logo below.
Also in Poplar, we visited the exciting Chrisp Street On Air project who are making some great quality radio content in and around the market there. You can find out more about there here.
Having met some guys from Newham council at the V&A Museum, we went to meet them at the Councils office, to discuss our radio projects planned for Newham, particularly supporting local unemployed people to get radio training.
We are looking to start a radio project in Barking, and if anyone in that area is interested in setting up with our support, please email ian@eastlondonradio.org.uk
As always our amazing volunteers have been coming and going this week creating some great content for our website. To catch up on anything you might have missed click HERE.
Have a fantastic week everyone!
